Despite all the many challenges – no indoor courts, no formalised coaching program, no Exeter coach, Victoria Park junior member Matt Rutter went to Germany to compete during half term.  The good news is, he came back with another title – ITF doubles! He also reached the quarter finals, both weeks, in the singles.  As Germany is one of the few safe places to travel, the standard was incredibly high, so all things considered, it was a very good result. Matt continues to practise at Victoria Park, living just around the corner, and can sometimes be seen relentlessly pounding ball after ball down towards a set of target cones! We watch his progress through the ranks with avid interest!
