Welcome to Victoria Park Bridge Club!

We are part of the Victoria Park Club which was established in 1879. Like other clubs of this vintage Victoria Park Club originally catered for croquet and lawn tennis. In the course of time, the lawn courts gave way to hard courts. The Club has had a bridge section for many decades.

About us...

We are a small friendly club, offering duplicate bridge sessions on Monday (Duplicate Bridge) & Thursday (Gentle Duplicate Bridge) to members. Play commences at 7.00pm, and normally finishes around 10.00pm, with a short mid-session break for refreshments. Play is to English Bridge Union standards, although the club is not affiliated to the EBU. Guests are welcome by prior arrangement with either Alan or Christine whose contact details may be found below. Applications for membership should also be agreed with Christine. Currently the maximum number of tables is 9, but 7 or 8 is more normal. In the future our room will expand following alterations and we will be able to accommodate 2 or 3 additional tables. Players on Monday nights are required to arrive with a partner for the evening. Players on Thursday night may arrive without a partner. Should this result in an odd number of players, a hosting rota is employed to select a player to leave. There is limited parking at the club, but there is ample street parking close at hand.
